Terms of Service

The service
Contropia is a software platform for exterior contractors — customer relationship management, scheduling, estimating, storm intelligence, customer communication, and related tools, provided over the internet. By creating an account or using Contropia, you agree to these terms. If you use Contropia for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you can bind it.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account, your team members' access, and keeping sign-in credentials secure. Each company's account is separate; a user may belong to more than one company only as authorized by those companies. Tell us promptly at contropia.office@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Fees
Contropia is billed per user per month at the rates shown when you sign up (currently $120 per full user per month and $20 per canvasser user per month), plus any one-time setup fee stated at signup. Fees are charged to the payment method on file for the company. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from the next billing period after the notice. Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires.
Your data
Your company's data — including your customers, jobs, files, and communications — belongs to you. You give Contropia the limited rights needed to store, process, display, and transmit it to operate the service for you, including to integrations you connect. We will never sell your data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
Acceptable use
Use Contropia for your business, lawfully. Do not misuse the service: no accessing another company's data, no interfering with the platform or its security, no using the service to send spam or unlawful messages, and no reverse-engineering except where the law allows it. You are responsible for the messages and content you and your team send through Contropia, and for having the right to contact your customers.
AI features
Contropia includes AI-assisted features (drafting, summaries, estimating and supplement assistance). AI output is a tool for your review — you are responsible for checking estimates, letters, and figures before relying on or sending them.
Third-party services and integrations
Contropia can connect to third-party services you choose, such as QuickBooks Online (Intuit), calendar providers, and suppliers. Those services are provided by their owners under their own terms and privacy policies; Contropia is not responsible for them. You can disconnect an integration at any time from Settings, which stops its data flow.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Contropia available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We may improve, change, or discontinue features; if a change materially reduces the service you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Contropia's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the relationship
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you can request an export of your data before it does. We may suspend or end an account for misuse or unpaid fees, with notice where practical. Terms about data ownership, fees owed, and liability survive cancellation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the updated version here and note the new date. Continued use of Contropia after a change means the updated terms apply.
